Who Cover All Coloradans is designed to reach

Colorado says children age 18 and younger and pregnant people may apply for Health First Colorado or CHP+ regardless of immigration status. Coverage can also extend through the 12-month postpartum period when program requirements are met.

The state—not a dental office or this guide—decides eligibility based on the application and current rules. Households should apply even if they are unsure which program fits, because the eligibility system evaluates the available pathways.

The July 1, 2026 dental change

  • CAC children age 0–18 have a $1,100 annual dental benefit limit.
  • The benefit year runs July 1 through June 30 and resets each July 1.
  • After the annual limit is reached, additional dental services are not covered until the benefit year resets, according to DentaQuest's current notice.
  • Pregnant and postpartum CAC members do not have the $1,100 annual limit.
  • Orthodontics is not covered under the CAC dental benefit.
  • Other covered services and their frequency rules remain subject to the plan's current policies.

How to use the dental benefit

  1. 1

    Keep the member record current

Use PEAK and official notices to track enrollment, renewals, address changes, and the correct program.

  2. 2

    Choose an enrolled dental provider

Use DentaQuest's directory and call the office to confirm new-patient availability for the member's program.

  3. 3

Tell the office the exact enrollment program

The standard children's summary and CAC child limit are different; the office needs the member's actual plan information.

  4. 4

    Plan around the July–June limit

Ask DentaQuest and the dentist how much of the limit remains and whether a procedure needs prior authorization.

Use official help for sensitive questions

HCPF maintains Cover All Coloradans eligibility, privacy, public-charge, application, and multilingual resources. DentaQuest maintains dental-benefit and provider-network information. These official sources should control if another website conflicts with them.

Do not send immigration records, member numbers, or health details through an unverified website. Apply through the official state pathway and share protected information only with organizations you trust and that need it for enrollment or care.
