Arapahoe County Medicaid dental resources from Aurora to Littleton

Arapahoe County has Aurora and Littleton benefit locations, a broad east-west geography, and transportation choices that vary sharply by address.

Arapahoe County's official page lists medical-assistance help at CentrePoint in Aurora and a satellite office in Littleton; confirm current hours before visiting.

01

County help covers Health First Colorado, CHP+, and renewal casework

Arapahoe County's Medical Assistance page explains that one application is used to evaluate Health First Colorado and Child Health Plan Plus, and it also identifies Cover All Coloradans for eligible children and pregnant people. The county currently lists 303-636-1170, CentrePoint at 14980 E. Alameda Drive in Aurora, and a satellite office at 1690 W. Littleton Boulevard. It directs residents to apply online, by phone, or at a lobby kiosk and describes county methods for returning renewal information.

Use the current county page or an official notice before sending documents or traveling. Bring the application or case number, member information, notice, missing-document request, and proof of prior submission. County staff answer eligibility and case-processing questions. Dental network, benefits, authorizations, and claims belong to DentaQuest; appointment and treatment questions belong to the dental office. A county determination that coverage is active does not promise a dental procedure or provider slot.

02

Plan differently for western suburbs, Aurora, and eastern Arapahoe County

Arapahoe County extends from Englewood, Littleton, Sheridan, Greenwood Village, and Centennial through much of Aurora to Bennett, Strasburg-area communities, and the eastern plains. Aurora itself crosses Arapahoe, Adams, and Douglas counties. Littleton mailing addresses can be inside different jurisdictions. Check the member's residential county for casework and the dental office's full address for travel and provider verification.

In the western and central urban area, a directory radius may produce offices across Denver, Douglas, or Adams County lines. In eastern Arapahoe County, widening a radius can create a long trip that is unrealistic in winter or without a vehicle. Compare drive time, appointment length, return transportation, and whether the office can complete the needed type of evaluation. A distant directory result is not useful until the patient can reach it reliably.

  • Search the member's ZIP code first and expand in steps, checking actual travel time after each expansion.
  • Do not infer county from ‘Aurora’ or ‘Littleton’ alone; confirm the residential and destination addresses.
  • Ask whether the office treats adults, children, or the particular clinical need before arranging a long trip.
  • If no workable appointment appears, contact DentaQuest and provide the offices, dates, and responses already tried.
03

Use DentaQuest for the provider—not a county community list

Arapahoe County and community partners may publish health or social-service directories. Those lists are valuable for navigation but do not establish current DentaQuest enrollment. Use the official DentaQuest directory and call the exact office. Confirm Health First Colorado, the individual dentist, address, patient's age, needed visit, current new-patient status, language support, accessibility, and scheduling.

After the examination, ask which procedures are proposed and which current benefit rules apply. Adults age 21 and older have a current $3,000 limit for the July-to-June benefit year under DentaQuest's July 2026 materials, with stated exceptions and separate service rules. Children and Cover All Coloradans members have different structures. Do not use a county eligibility page or a general covered-services list to estimate payment for a particular treatment plan.

  1. 1

    Verify the plan

Say Health First Colorado dental through DentaQuest and confirm active membership for the appointment date.

  2. 2

    Verify the place

Confirm the individual provider and service address, not only the practice brand.

  3. 3

    Verify the visit

Describe the member's age and problem, and ask about current availability and any required records or referral.

  4. 4

    Verify the treatment

After diagnosis, request a member-specific coverage and authorization check for the proposed codes.

04

Transportation coverage changes between the urban corridor and the plains

All Arapahoe County residents are inside the current nine-county MediDrive NEMT area, including residents far east of Aurora. A qualifying Health First Colorado member who lacks transportation to covered care should use the live state instructions and call 855-489-4999. Request routine trips at least two business days ahead and provide the exact pickup and dental addresses, member details, appointment time, mobility needs, support person, and return plan.

RTD fixed-route and Access-a-Ride coverage are concentrated in the metro service area and should never be assumed for an eastern address. Arapahoe County's official transportation page lists RTD resources plus senior transportation programs, including Littleton-area and senior services. Each program has its own age, disability, city, boundary, schedule, and reservation requirements. Call the named program with both addresses before treating it as a dental travel option.

05

An optional Denver office when a cross-county trip is workable

Star Dental accepts Health First Colorado for adults and children at 1490 S. Sheridan Blvd., Unit 102, Denver, CO 80232. It is in Denver County and may be included in a broader search when the member decides the distance and transportation plan work. This page does not describe it as close to Aurora, eastern Arapahoe County, or any particular home address.

Call 303-222-1414 before traveling. Confirm current scheduling for the member's age and visit type, the exact provider and office, Spanish-language or accessibility support, and likely appointment duration. If the trip is not practical, use DentaQuest's directory and member assistance to search the patient's side of the metro area.

06

Arapahoe County appointment-ready checklist

  • Verify active enrollment and the correct county case before relying on an old member card or notice.
  • Call the dental location and confirm the provider, address, patient age, visit type, opening, and access needs.
  • For a child or a Cover All Coloradans member, name the exact program so the office checks the correct benefit structure.
  • For an adult, ask DentaQuest or the office about the current July-to-June benefit-year balance and pending claims when planning treatment.
  • Reserve an eligible ride in time and confirm that the service covers both the pickup and destination—not just the city or county generally.
  • Bring medication and allergy information, records, consent authority, member ID, and any authorization or referral documents.
  • Keep county notices, DentaQuest decisions, treatment plans, ride numbers, and bills in separate labeled groups.
