The county lists Boulder, Longmont, and Lafayette service locations with different days, plus phone and text options for contact updates.

Boulder County offers several application and enrollment-help paths
Boulder County's official Health First Colorado page lists online, secure-form, paper, mail, fax, and drop-off routes. It currently lists Human Services at 303-441-1000, a text line at 303-441-1069 for keeping information current, and service locations in Boulder, Longmont, and Lafayette with different days and hours. Its Enrollment Center also offers health-coverage guidance. Use the live page to confirm the location and schedule before traveling.
County Human Services processes eligibility and renewal casework. DentaQuest administers dental benefits and provider tools. A dentist evaluates the patient and proposes treatment. If a county worker confirms active coverage, still verify the dental provider and proposed procedure. If DentaQuest lists a dentist but the county case is closed, resolve enrollment before relying on the listing for a visit date.
Use the current DentaQuest dental amount—not an older county-page answer
As reviewed August 17, 2026, the Boulder County Health First Colorado page still contains an answer describing a $1,000 preventive adult dental amount. That statement does not reflect DentaQuest's current July 2026 adult materials. DentaQuest now states that Health First Colorado members age 21 and older have a $3,000 benefit limit for each July 1-to-June 30 benefit year, with emergency treatment and qualifying dentures identified as outside that dollar limit and with separate coverage rules still applying.
This is why members should use county pages for county casework and current DentaQuest documents for dental benefits. Even the current $3,000 amount is not a voucher or guarantee. A proposed service still depends on eligibility, network, clinical criteria, frequency, authorization, remaining benefit, and correct billing. Children and Cover All Coloradans members have different benefit structures; do not apply the adult amount to them.
Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, Louisville, and mountain searches need different radiuses
Boulder County includes Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, Louisville, Erie-area addresses, Superior, Lyons, Nederland, and mountain communities. Broomfield and Weld County are close to portions of the county, and Longmont addresses can sit near the Weld boundary. Use the member's residential county for casework and the office's exact address for network and travel decisions.
A ten-mile radius means something different in central Boulder than in the mountains. Search DentaQuest in increments and check current travel time, winter conditions, appointment duration, and return options. For recurring periodontal, denture, orthodontic, or restorative care, ask how many visits may be needed. A farther office is not a solution if the member cannot return for follow-up.
- Call each exact location; a practice group may have multiple addresses and providers.
- Confirm age, visit type, current scheduling, language, accessibility, and whether a referral or records are needed.
- Ask DentaQuest for appointment assistance when directory calls produce no practical result.
- Do not assume a county resource list is a current network list, even when it names dental organizations.
MediDrive and Mobility for All solve different transportation problems
Boulder County is on the current nine-county MediDrive list. A qualifying Health First Colorado member without transportation to covered dental care can call 855-489-4999 and should schedule routine rides at least two business days in advance under the state page. Provide the member ID, birth date, exact pickup and office addresses, appointment details, mobility needs, support person, and return-trip question.
Boulder County's Mobility Options page collects public transit, Via Mobility, RTD FlexRide and Access-a-Ride, regional transit, and private or nonprofit transportation resources. Costs, age or disability eligibility, registration, hours, and service boundaries vary. Some entries may be useful for non-Medicaid trips or when NEMT does not apply, but their inclusion on the county page does not make them free or Medicaid-approved. Call with both addresses and the appointment time.
An optional Denver office for a member considering a longer trip
Star Dental accepts Health First Colorado for adults and children at 1490 S. Sheridan Blvd., Unit 102, Denver, CO 80232. This is a Denver County office, not a Boulder County office, and it can be a long trip from Boulder, Longmont, or a mountain community. It is included only as an optional Denver office for someone who decides the distance is practical.
Call 303-222-1414 to confirm current scheduling, member age, visit type, exact provider, accessibility or Spanish-language support, and likely number or length of visits. Confirm transportation separately. Use DentaQuest to compare offices in Boulder County and other nearer search areas before committing to repeated travel.
